Bramhall of Mercer Care Ltd is registered for 23 elderly residents and is a privately owned family run Care home – being run by the same family since 1998.
Slowly building up an excellent reputation over the years, ensuring a friendly, personal service and ‘hands on’ management with excellently trained staff. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission ( formerly Commission for Social Care Inspection)
Mr Reg Mercer has a background in carpentry and can turn his hand to most things. He is the caretaker of the home, patiently repairing, painting and decorating. It is a full time job for him keeping the décor of the home to such a high standard and meeting the varied tastes and wishes of our residents. He is frequently seen up a ladder or with paint brush in hand and the residents see him as their cheeky Mr fix it
Mrs June Mercer has a lengthy background in care work and sets the standards of care within the home. She ensures that cleanliness and high quality care needs are met, via daily checks of the home.
She talks to our residents daily to maintain an open ethos that enables them to communicate wants, needs and wishes. She is regarded by the residents as the Matriarch of the home and can be seen on occasion playing bingo with them and enjoying a sing-along.
Mr Garry Mercer’s background is in finance. He takes care of all the invoicing, payroll matters and gives advice on funding.
His careful budgeting allows the spending that provides the extras for our residents. Such an important role ensures he is at the top of the tea list.
Miss Bonnie Mercer has been the Care Manager for the last 10 years. Having completed her NVQ 3, 4, and 5, NEBS, HSD and Managers award, she went on to do advanced training in End of life care and Dementia.
She is responsible for ensuring that the care in the home is kept to a high standard and that staff are trained to provide the best possible care.
